National Health Commission: Avoid blindly expanding the scope of nucleic acid testing for all employees
On June 9th, the State Council Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism held a press conference to introduce the situation of nucleic acid detection. At the meeting, He Qinghua, the first-level inspector of National Health Commission CDC, introduced that after the cluster epidemic, it is necessary to scientifically formulate nucleic acid detection strategies according to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, delimit the scope and frequency of nucleic acid detection, avoid blindly expanding the scope of nucleic acid detection for all staff, and carry out testing according to the risk level from high to low. The first full-scale nucleic acid detection must be completed within 24 hours in the sealed control area, and the first full-scale nucleic acid detection should be completed within 48 hours in the control area.
He Qinghua introduced that at present, the domestic epidemic situation is generally maintained at a low level. In this case, the key is to improve the sensitivity of the monitoring system and ensure early detection and early disposal of the epidemic. Nucleic acid detection is the most scientific and effective means for early detection. There is no need for frequent nucleic acid testing in low-risk areas, low-risk populations and long-term home populations. The focus of nucleic acid detection is on high-risk population and staff in high-risk positions, as well as areas with epidemic situation.
