China will release all on-grid tariffs for coal-fired power generation in an orderly manner, and the floating range of transaction prices in the coal-fired power generation market has also expanded, marking another important step in China’s electricity market-oriented reform.

　　On the power generation side, the on-grid tariff of all coal-fired power generation will be released in an orderly manner, and all coal-fired power generation will enter the power market in principle. At the same time, expand the fluctuation range of market transaction price, and expand the fluctuation range of coal-fired power generation market transaction price from the current fluctuation range of no more than 10% and no more than 15% in principle to no more than 20% in principle, and the market transaction price of high energy-consuming enterprises is not limited by 20% fluctuation.

　　These measures will further drive the power generated by other types of power sources to enter the market, laying a solid foundation for fully liberalizing the on-grid tariff on the power generation side.

　　On the power consumption side, this reform clearly proposes to promote industrial and commercial users to enter the power market in an orderly manner, and purchase electricity at market prices. For industrial and commercial users who have not directly purchased electricity from the power market, power grid enterprises will purchase electricity on their behalf, and encourage local governments to implement phased preferential policies for small and micro enterprises and individual industrial and commercial households. At the same time, the supply of electricity for residents and agriculture is guaranteed by power grid enterprises, and the current sales price level remains unchanged.
