At the beginning of 2008, He Biao worked for half a year, and Hunan power grid suffered a severe freezing disaster. Several 500 kV lines were tripped by ice flash and towers were broken. He Biao’s live working class joined the anti-ice protection team of State Grid Hunan Electric Power Co., Ltd., and he fought day and night in the front line of anti-ice disaster relief without fear of cold wind and freezing.
From 2007 to 2010, he completed the live maintenance of EHV and EHV transmission for nearly 100 times, and entered the strong electric field for dozens of times in the actual line operation. The electric spark he saw had already become a million lights. He climbed more than 500 iron towers, troubleshooting nearly 100 times, and avoiding power loss of more than 100 million kWh.

Since 2011, he has participated in the uninterrupted operation of distribution network for more than 7,000 times, increased the power supply by 35 million kWh, reduced the number of households in power outage by 354,688, eliminated all kinds of defects by 1,225 times, and reduced the duration of customer power outage by more than 24,100 hours.
At the beginning of 2020, a sudden epidemic swept across the country. In this war "epidemic" without smoke, He Biao silently stuck to the front line. At the beginning of February, 2024, Changsha ushered in the extremely low temperature weather in the past 50 years, and He Biao was on duty for 24 hours to deal with all kinds of emergency failures of distribution lines caused by low temperature and freezing rain. After all-night rescue, he successfully handled the major hidden danger that the 220 kV Wangtian I line optical cable broke off and fell to the Qishao UHV grounding line, and successfully eliminated the major security hidden danger that affected the operation of Qishao DC UHV line.
At various critical moments, he always sticks to his post and responds to all kinds of emergency rescue and repair work at any time. He frequently "fights" in the streets and alleys of Changsha in the middle of the night, and "sleeps and waits" for the protection of thousands of lights, and interprets the responsibility of grid people with his own practical actions.
Challenges and honors coexist. In 2019, He Biao, as the main team member of Hunan Electric Power Company’s group project, won the first prize in the competition, won the honorary title of "Technical Expert in Electric Power Industry" and the second prize in the national group, especially the group project made a historic breakthrough in the performance of Hunan Electric Power Company’s live working competition in the national distribution network.
